GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between NordWind.is and any client booking one-day tours, private transfers, or related services through the website https://nordwind.is or via other communication channels.

2. Booking and Confirmation

2.1 Bookings must be made through our website, by email, or through authorised partners.

2.2 A booking is considered confirmed once the client receives written confirmation from NordWind.is.

2.3 Clients must provide accurate and complete information during the booking process.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Full payment is required upon booking unless otherwise agreed.

3.2 Accepted payment methods include credit cards, bank transfers, and other methods listed on our website.

3.3 All prices are in Icelandic króna (ISK) and include VAT and other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4. Cancellations and Changes

4.1 Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation policy applies:

• Cancellation 24 hours or more before the tour: full refund

• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the tour or no-show: no refund

4.2 The Company reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour due to weather conditions, force majeure, or an insufficient number of participants. In such cases, a full refund or rescheduling will be offered.

5. Client Responsibilities

5.1 Clients are required to follow the guide’s instructions and respect local laws and customs.

5.2 The Company is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury caused by clients’ negligence or failure to follow safety guidelines.

6. Liability

6.1 The Company is liable only for damages caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

6.2 The Company is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by third-party providers, weather, or unforeseen events beyond its control.

7. Insurance

Clients are responsible for securing their own travel and health insurance. We strongly recommend that all participants have coverage for activities and travel in Iceland.

8. Data Protection

The Company processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By booking a tour, the client agrees to the use of personal data for communication and booking purposes.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Reykjavík.
